Travel

Following is only a brief overview of the travel logisitcs to and from camp. For further details, please carefully read our "Travel & Other Misc. Information" sheet which we will send you via email or regular mail.

To King Salmon

We prefer that guests travel all the way to King Salmon, AK and overnight the Friday before your departure to camp. You may stay in Anchorage Friday night but must arrange your air travel for the next morning (Saturday) for an arrival in King Salmon NO LATER THAN 10:00 a.m. If you choose to arrive in King Salmon Saturday morning, your departure to camp that day may be delayed. Please inquire for more details.

Once in King Salmon contact our charter company, Egli Air Haul at (907) 246-3554 to let them know you have arrived in King Salmon, or you may press #20 at the airport call terminal. If you are overnighting in King Salmon Friday, call your lodging operator for shuttle service from the airport.

To Camp

The next morning (Saturday), Egli Air Haul will shuttle your party to their hanger then transport you from King Salmon to the camp via bush plane. The flight is 1 to 1½ hours and 2 to 3 round-trips are required to get all guests/gear to camp. Guests should wear waterproof shoes to camp on this day if possible.

Departing King Salmon

Egli Air Haul will return for you the following Saturday. Your flight that departs from King Salmon on that Saturday should be arranged to leave NO EARLIER THAN 4:30 p.m.

VERY IMPORTANT

Please bring “soft” luggage (two medium duffle bags are much better than one large bag) and do not over pack, as these specialized airplanes have limited cargo space. There is a strictly enforced 50 pound per person weight restriction, including rods/reels, lures and any hand-carried items. Yes, you can get everything within 50 pounds.
